macOS Tahoe
The 'Liquid Glass' update. Features deep neural integration, native Phone mirroring, and the new fluid windowing engine.
Introduction
macOS Tahoe 26.2 redefines the desktop with the 'Liquid Glass' UI—a physics-based interface that treats windows as fluid layers. Under the hood, the OS is now 'AI-First', meaning the Neural Engine handles indexing, search, and context awareness locally on-device.
Supported Hardware
To install macOS Tahoe, you need a Mac with Apple Silicon. Intel-based Macs are no longer supported.

Upgrade Instructions
Follow these steps to upgrade to macOS Tahoe 26.2.
1Check Compatibility: Ensure your device is listed in the 'Supported Hardware' section above. You must have at least 60GB of available storage for the Neural Index.
2Make a Backup: Before installing, it is highly recommended to back up your Mac with Time Machine. Tahoe converts the file system to APFS-X.
3Download and Install: From the Apple menu in the corner of your screen, choose System Settings > General > Software Update. Click 'Upgrade Now'.
4Post-Install: Your Mac may restart multiple times. Allow 2-4 hours for the local AI model to index your file system (performance will be reduced during this time).
